Getting here.

Teela sits on the Aravalli hills on the edge of Jaipur. The drive is straightforward — and the last stretch, as the city gives way to scrub and hills, is part of the experience.

When to visit.

02

The Aravallis have seasons, and they matter. Here is an honest guide to what each part of the year looks and feels like at Teela.

March — April

Warm to hot — the desert does not apologise for summer. March and early April are still pleasant. As the months progress, temperatures climb significantly. The skies are clear and dramatic. Best suited for guests who don't mind the heat and want lower rates and fewer crowds.

Hot · Check availability

May - June

Teela closes for a short period each year for maintenance and team rest. The exact dates vary. Reach out to your Journey Designer to check availability for your specific dates — they will confirm immediately and help plan around the closure if needed.

Annual Closure

July — September

The monsoon months. The landscape turns unexpectedly green, the air clears, and the hills take on a dramatic quality that the dry season doesn't offer. Rain is possible — especially in July and August — but the property is fully operational and the atmosphere is unlike anything else.

Dramatic & quieter

October - Feburary

The best Teela has to offer. Cool nights, clear skies, and the Aravallis at their most vivid. The Milky Way is visible on clear evenings. The mornings are crisp enough to make a chai on the deck feel like a reward. Book early — this period fills up fast.

What to pack.

03

Teela provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. But a few things from home make the difference between a good trip and an effortless one.

Clothing & Footwear

Dress for the hill.

  • Flat-soled shoes or closed-toe sandals — The paths across the property are natural hillside terrain. Heels and flip-flops will make the walk between your dome and the restaurant less enjoyable than it should be.

  • A light jacket or wrap — Desert nights cool down sharply, especially October through February. You will want to be outside in the evenings, and you will want a layer.

  • Comfortable, loose clothing — The property is relaxed. There is no dress code at Rait. Wear what you'd be happy sitting in for three hours under the stars.

  • Swimwear — If you're staying in the Luna Airstream, you have a private jacuzzi. Pack accordingly.

Essentials

The non-negotiables.

  • Valid photo ID — Mandatory for all guests at check-in. Aadhaar, passport, or driving licence. Without it, check-in cannot be completed.

  • Sunscreen and sunglasses — The Aravalli sun is serious, especially midday. We provide basic toiletries, but sun protection is worth bringing your own.

  • Any personal medications — The nearest pharmacy is approximately 20 minutes away. Bring anything you need for the duration of your stay.

  • A power bank — Not because there's no electricity — there is — but because you'll be away from your room often enough that a full phone matters.

For the Experience

Things that make it better.

  • A proper camera — The light here at golden hour and the star field at night reward a camera that can actually capture them.

  • A book — The deck of your dome, the hammock all of these are improved significantly by a book and no agenda.

  • An intention to be offline — The guests who get the most from Teela are the ones who decide, before they arrive, to use both less than usual.

  • Nowhere to be in the morning — Not something you pack. Something you arrange before you leave.

During your stay.

04

How the property works, how to book things, and the unwritten rhythms of a day at Teela.

Experiences

Booking activities.

All experiences — ATV, Polaris, paintball, pottery, camel cart, stargazing sessions, and everything else — are bookable through your Journey Designer. You can pre-book before arrival via WhatsApp, or arrange everything at the property on check-in. For adventure activities and private dining experiences, 48 hours' notice is recommended. For wellness treatments at Taaro, 24 hours. For everything else, same-day is usually possible — just ask.

Meals & Dining

Food, simplified.

Breakfast is served daily from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Rait restaurant. Bonnet Breakfast — coffee on the bonnet of a jeep at sunrise — is available every morning with booking. Campfire Chai begins at 5:30 PM, every evening, no reservation required. Dinner at Rait opens at 7:00 PM — reservations recommended during peak months. All dietary requirements should be communicated before arrival through your Journey Designer.

Payments

Settling the bill.

All major payment methods are accepted at Teela — UPI, debit and credit cards, and cash. Experiences and add-ons not included in your room rate can be settled at the end of your stay or in advance. A bill summary will be shared with you at check-out. If anything on it is unclear, ask — we'd rather explain than have you leave with a question.

Connectivity

Wi-Fi & signal.

Wi-Fi is available only at the restaurant. Mobile signal varies — most major networks have coverage in the main areas, but may be weaker in certain parts of the hill. Airtel and Jio tend to perform best at Teela. We'd be dishonest if we didn't say that the guests who put their phones away tend to leave more satisfied. But the option is there if you need it.

No ceiling

The sky, every night.

Most people have never actually seen the Milky Way. At Teela's elevation, with the Aravalli hills on one side and open desert on the other, the night sky is exactly what it looked like before electricity arrived. The stars do not need an introduction. Simply walk up when the mood takes you.

Housekeeping

Your room, your schedule.

Daily housekeeping is included and happens while you're out — typically between 10 AM and 1 PM. If you'd prefer to skip housekeeping on any day, or if you'd like it at a different time, let Reception know. Luna Airstream guests have a dedicated butler available throughout their stay for any in-room requests.

Policies & guidelines.

Straightforward policies, written plainly. Nothing unreasonable — just the things that keep Teela working well for everyone who stays here.
